Order of the Six Wings

The Order was founded at the dawn of civilization on Nilias, and has always served as a guardian for the people, while at the same time, a silent observer. In the beginning, it was lead by six Knights, who pledged their loyalty to the figurehead of the organization; High Saint Syraph. Under these Knights, the Order was broken down into different sub-organizations, each with unique duties and obligations.

The First Wing - Lead by Rylen Arantis, Eidolon of the Temple

Maintaining the many buildings of the Order that are scattered across Nilias, as well as dealing with much of the Order's bureaucratic duties, much of the First Wing is populated by simple monks. Other than taking care of the Order's property, they teach the people of the Syraphim Canon, also known as the 'Paths of Syraph.'

  • Sir Regald Mikhail (Knight-Captain): Captain of the Ironclad "Bastion." Has a rather potent dislike for Gabriel Lugios, though the reasons for it are, as of yet, unknown.

The Second Wing - Abolished

Not much is known about the ill-fated Second Wing, other than that it served as a sort of scout for the Order. Its leader, whose name and title has been lost to time, was slain during The War of the Second Wing, and most record and mention of him has since ceased to exist.

The Third Wing - Lead by Fiona Kirai, Eidolon of the Caretakers

Most of the Third Wing's duties have been completed since the Terra-Forming of Nilias is mostly complete. Knights of the Third Wing currently busy themselves with cultivating new kinds of food, studying genetics, and practicing medicine. They also specalize in adapting the human body to accept the nanotechnology ("ether") as a helpful attribute, rather than attacking it as it would bacteria or virii.

The Fourth Wing - Lead by Araken Slen, Eidolon of Mediation

Knights of the Fourth are commonly regarded as 'wanderers' because of the nature of their craft; traveling across the lands to aid the people with local affairs. They are generally regarded as Mediators because of their methods, but they are also called Judges, depending on the situation needing their attention. They are occasionally appointed as advisers to the leaders of nations or towns, as they are the most well versed in common laws.

  • Sir Gabriel Lugios (Second-Class Knight, Mediator, Limitless Talent): Often aloof and posessing a love for dramatic flare, he is also one of the best Mediators in the Fourth Wing. He seldomly uses his Talents for anything beyond as a scare-tactic against those who may need a little extra encouragement to see things his way.
  • Dame Ren Nibasai (Second-Class Knight): Gabriel's newest partner, Ren is an incredibly talented pilot, and because of it, is generally left to mind his ship (Sylph.) She strives to prove she can do more than watch from afar, but struggles with Gabriel's stubborn personality and, thus far, has yet to find an opportunity to showcase her other skills, much to her increasing annoyance with him.

The Fifth Wing - Lead by Darius Veylan, Eidolon of the Tomes

Responsible for creating and maintaining the nanotechnology called "ether," the Fifth Wing is also in charge of the College of the Fifth, where all aspiring Knights of the Order go to train before being assigned to their respective wings. The Fifth Wing also maintains the most up-to-date and complete history of Nilias...though certain parts are curiously omitted.

The Sixth Wing - Lead by Rylen Arantis in lieu of Ariana Tyris, Eidolon of the Guardians

Ariana Tyris, rightful leader of the Sixth Wing, has been comatose since the War of the Second Wing...however, her Knights still serve their original purpose of acting as the Order's Navy. They are the first and best line of defense for the Order and are equipped with the most sophisticated arsenal in the world. As one might expect, they also have one or two Special Ops groups within their ranks...

Kaitel

Despite the Order's insistance, this mountain-bordered province seeks to remain independant from the Order's influence. Since its founding, the Dukes and Duchesses of the Royal Family have continued the maintenence of their sovereign nation, in tandem with its sister-states; Kravil (to the west) and Astara (to the east.)

  • Duke Lancis Kaitel: Current ruler of Kaitel, he broke his nation's vow to keep the Order out of its business when his daughter came under the spell of the Limitless Dark, and he was forced to seek its aid in bringing her back to a safety.
  • Duchess Marissa Kaitel: Lancis' wife, she went behind her husband's back to contact the Order before telling him of their daughter's plight, fearing his reaction. She has since gone missing...presumably, she is with the Princess and the First Wing.
  • Baron Rensa Kaitel: The Duke's younger brother, Rensa greets and briefs Sir Lugios in matters regarding the Princess' situation.
  • Princess Miya Kaitel: The 12-year-old daughter of the Royal Family. Her newly-found Talents enable her control over flames, though she has yet to learn how to control her abilities.
